Mt. Lebanon Lutheran School

Mt. Lebanon Lutheran School is a K4-8 school that serves 245 students at two campuses in Milwaukee: K4-4th grade at 61st and Hampton Avenue and 5-8th grade at 84th and Melvina Street. It has been given a five-star (significantly exceeding expectations) rating from the Dept. of Public Instruction for the last three years. Mt. Lebanon aims to be a "community for the community." It is committed to meeting children where they are and providing extra tools and resources to get them to and beyond grade level. It provides an intimate learning environment, educational assistants, an extended school day, a personalized student success plan for each child, servant leadership curriculum, and four-week Center for Urban Teaching (Cfut) grade school summer school. They are staffed with a full-time school pastor and two school counselors. To strengthen its student community, extended services and opportunities further into its neighborhood, Mt. Lebanon desires to add new programs and partners, but is currently restricted by its physical space.
