Located in Kenosha, Carthage College is a four-year, private liberal arts college with a student body of 3,000. Along with its local and regional partners, Carthage is focused on ensuring that 60 percent of the working-age population has a post secondary credential by 2027. Carthage focuses its work on increasing the number of Racine and Kenosha residents attending college and earning degrees through a regionally focused dual credit program.

Programs: Carthage College’s dual credit program for Kenosha Unified School District's (KUSD) charter, choice, and three public high schools will give students the opportunity to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously. Four courses within the College of Education will be available for dual credit, including Education and Society; Educational Psychology and Assessment; Teaching and Supporting Learners with Diverse Characteristics and Needs; and Foundations of Urban Education. The courses being offered are intentionally designed to provide a realistic introduction to the education career pathway and provide high school students with early access to college level work and professors, while giving them a head start in earning college credit, saving time and money, and encouraging them to continue to higher education after high school.
